Yes . . . and we have a different show for EACH business client and EVERY individual. We do not have an "off-the-shelf" show since there is no such thing as an "off-the-shelf" event at least, there shouldnt be! Your event is very important to you, and it is even more important to us! We want to make your event unique, and if you have ever seen one of our performances, you have only seen one of our performances.
Not at all! We can, of course, but each of us is experienced in "working the floor" during a reception or social hour or other event prior to or following a dinner or presentation. We are rather well-known for our "Close-Up Magic" and "Mentalism."
Close-Up Magic is entertaining smaller groupings of people for briefer periods of time, often in a larger setting where there is not a stage or platform. Mentalism is also called Mental Magic, and we offer this in several forms, the most popular being individual character readings.
Yes. We can write adult humor, but it is humor which does not rely on "street language" or "off-color jokes." It is humor based more upon implication or suggestion, but not suggestive. In fact, most of the "adult humor" we would write or use is not sexual at all, but rather at a level which children really "wouldnt get." Politics, current events, public indiscretions, and themed humor would be the subjects we would use most of the time. However, we ALWAYS check with our clients to make sure our humor is appropriate for their guests.
Yes. In fact, we really enjoy working with our clients to develop comedy and presentations which include the culture of the company or organization. (When we meet, be sure to ask about Knick Knack!)
No. Very often, however, when we are performing for a company or organization, the "top people" recognize the importance of being "a bit on the spot" and readily offer to be part of the show and comedy. Our humor is inclusive, and the assistants from president to hourly worker are always the ultimate heroes.
Yes. Developing effects with a Magical or comedic linking to a product or service or important point is a specialty of ours. For example, when performing at a trade show or business meeting, we know that promoting the clients message is the reason for our being there, and we blend the right amount of marketing and entertainment to turn the event into an experience.
as we produced the first copy of for a group of 2000 young (and not-so-young) would-be wizards and witches at Schuler Books and Music. The party was to help The Childrens Miracle Network, and we were asked to create a unique and Magical way to produce the long-awaited fifth book in the hit series. We were the only Strolling Professors Performing Magic, and we were able to apparate (Wizards word for appear) the 800-page novel from thin air.
No. However, we thought you might like to read what some of our clients have said about our work.
Yes. In addition to Magical entertainment and comedy, we do offer Mentalism (Magic of the Mind), character readings, and other forms of family entertainment. Although we are not agents and do not add up to 50% to the cost of other entertainers fees we have a great working relationship with some other performers including an outstanding vocalist and accompanist, artists, and face painters (great for company picnics!).
No . . . especially if you consider what you will be getting! We really cannot set a fee before we meet with you to see what your wants and needs are. We will suggest some options that will fit your event and budget. Our fee is dependent upon factors such as amount of customization and type and length of performances. Also, our fee is for the two of us two experienced entertainers with years of creating unique presentations, and who know the importance of making an event a truly memorable occasion.
Yes. We will go anywhere.
We may be at different public venues at different times, so the best way to find out where you might see us would be to call us at: 616.245.6835.
Thats the really easy part! All you have to do is give us a call 616.245.6835, a Grand Rapids number, or email us, and we will answer any questions or set up a meeting at your office or home at your convenience to discuss your event. (Of course, if you are located in another state or country, we could only meet in person if you were willing to take care of expenses. We will travel quite some distance beyond Grand Rapids for an initial meeting, but we can accomplish a great deal by phone.) We want to assure you that there is absolutely no obligation on your part. If there is one thing we truly hate, it is the "hard sell" which is so often seen today! Also, as stated on our home page, if we do not think we can deliver more than your needs and wants, we will not accept the show.
